Legal Research & Investigation: Conduct deep-dive research into complex legal issues using Westlaw or LexisNexis. Assist with fact-checking, witness interviews, and evidence investigation.
Strategic Communication: Act as a primary liaison between clients, expert witnesses, vendors, opposing counsel, and internal trial teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Firm Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and the Director of Practice Support to achieve firm goals and handle other duties as assigned.
The Experience: Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, backed by a proven, successful track record of direct trial experience.
Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and specialized legal tech, with experience capturing and recording billable hours.
Research Skills: Strong capability utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis for comprehensive legal research.
Medical Literacy: Direct experience reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing complex medical records.
Education: A Paralegal Certificate or an undergraduate degree from an accredited paralegal program is highly desired.
Professional Attributes: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a high degree of client focus, and the absolute attention to detail required to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
